Having started doing signs and banners in 2001; then moving to vehicle performance parts in 2003, I always found it interesting to see the different ways that the same items could be described. Take for instance Racing Graphics; I’ve seen them called racing graphics, racing stickers and even racing decals. Essentially all 3 items are very similar but not exactly the same.
Racing Graphics is the much broader term there and while it can refer to the graphics found on a racing vehicle, it can also refer to any racing related graphic found anywhere. When someone is looking to find a particular item online the term is probably so broad that the results they receive could be quite diluted. Racing Stickers is a better term when looking around; however, this could still leave you with small stickers for anything from a school notebook to your motorcycle helmet. Racing Decals gets us closer, as most searchers looking for decals most likely are looking for some sort of die-cut decal that can be added to any motor vehicle.
The fact remains that while all the terms are closer to a result it is the inclusion of specific terms that gives them their greatest relevance and generally will lend the greatest success on your hunt. An example would be, instead of searching for racing graphics, search for honda racing graphics. As opposed to searching for racing decals, search for dodge racing decals. What you’ll find is that the items you’re looking for are higher up in the searches and will most likely lead you to the desired product in a shorter period of time.
