We’ve all been there; the occasional missed or late payment here and there, next thing you know your credit score drops and getting approved for a loan is next to impossible. I’ll be the first to admit that over the last 5 years my credit has been on a virtual roller coaster ride as I’ve struggled to make ends meat. Things are finally starting to turn around and I will say that I’ve got a much better handle on how to plan for the tougher times ahead.
Going back to the credit issues, I remember when I bought my new car last year, and at the time my credit was quite low. When I applied for loans, approval was nearly next to impossible, but luckily the dealer was able to workout something I could afford at a moderate interest rate. Had I know, I probably could have done the research on my own and got a much better rate on my Auto Loans saving hundreds possibly thousands of dollars.
